A made-to-measure bed can help when a standard size or finish does not suit your room. At Revival Beds, we can discuss changes to selected designs, including dimensions, colour and other details. What is possible depends on the bed you choose, so we will confirm the options for your design before you order.
Here are the points to consider before making an enquiry.
Start with the mattress size
Decide which mattress you want the bed to hold, then give us its width and length. A frame’s outside dimensions are larger than its mattress, particularly on designs with a substantial headboard, footboard or posts. If you need extra length, our bed frame size guide explains the standard sizes and the option of a frame for a mattress up to 8 ft long. For more detailed measuring and access advice, read our guide to extra-long bed frames.
Consider which design details matter
You may want to ask about a change to the bed’s width, length or height, or a detail such as the headboard or footboard. Some requests may work with one design and not another. Tell us which Revival bed you are considering and what you would like to change; we can explain what is practical for that frame.
If you are combining details from different designs, include a clear description or reference image with your enquiry. We can discuss the request with you and confirm what can be made before you decide.

Choose a finish that works with your room
Think about the other furniture and colours in your bedroom. Revival Beds offers a colour-matching service, and you can ask about finishes for the bed you have chosen. If you would like to compare wood samples or see beds and finishes in person, book a showroom visit.

Plan the mattress, bedding and access
Check that your mattress and bedding will suit the dimensions you are discussing. Revival Beds also makes mattresses and bedding to order; tell us the size you need so we can talk through suitable options. A zip-link mattress may help with a wide or heavy mattress, or where the route into the bedroom is tight. The right arrangement depends on the model, size and access, so we will advise before you order.
Measure the route to the bedroom as well as the room itself. Note any narrow doors, stairs, landings or sharp turns and share these details with us. For a made-to-measure bed, it is helpful to discuss delivery access while the design and mattress are being planned.
What to include in your enquiry
To help us understand your request, tell us:
- The bed design you are interested in.
- The mattress width and length you need.
- The changes you would like to discuss.
- Your preferred finish or colour-match reference.
- Any room or delivery-access measurements that may affect the design.
You can send us a bespoke beds enquiry with these details, or book a showroom visit to discuss your ideas in person. We will confirm the available options for your chosen bed before you order.
