Some bed-related world records are extraordinary in scale; others call for unusual coordination. These figures match the Guinness World Records entries checked on 12 October 2026. Record holders can change, so each section links to its source.
The largest bed measured 26.5 m by 16.44 m
For a summer festival in Hertme, the Netherlands, Commissie Zomerfeesten St Gregorius Hertme created a bed measuring 26.5 metres long and 16.44 metres wide. Guinness World Records dates the attempt to 28 May 2011. See the largest-bed record entry.
For a more practical comparison, Revival’s made-to-order extra-wide beds include 8-foot Caesar frames, with bespoke sizing also available.

54 people crammed onto one single bed
Xilinmen Furniture Co. Ltd. set this record in Beijing on 7 September 2013. The Guinness entry describes a formal record attempt, not a test of how many people a bed should hold. See the single-bed record entry.
574 people ate breakfast in bed
The current Guinness entry lists 574 people, achieved by Cappy in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 30 March 2019. That superseded the earlier 418-person event in China. See the breakfast-in-bed record entry.

A team of two made a bed in 21.35 seconds
Brendan Mackey and Daniel Blanchfield set the fastest time to make a double bed as a team of two in County Wexford, Ireland, on 15 April 2011. The Guinness-listed time is 21.35 seconds. See the bed-making record entry.
