Our wonderful Canterbury four-poster gothic bed reflects the philosophies of two of England’s most respected 19th century designers: AWN Pugin and William Morris. Pugin believed in “fitness for purpose” while Morris said, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be beautiful or believe to be useful”.
For the past 30 years, Revival Beds have reflected these ideals in all our traditionally handmade wooden beds. And, with its gothic curves and padded Italian leather headboard and footboard, the Canterbury Four-Poster is one of the most satisfying and majestic four-poster wooden beds we have ever made.
Of course, we simply had to dress our handmade four-poster bed in William Morris designed drapes and bedding, hand-stitched in the UK – just one of the many quality fabrics available. The result is exquisite, right down to the smallest detail. Pugin and Morris would have been proud.
Pictured in the Antique Mahogany finish, the Canterbury four-poster bed is available with or without underbed storage drawers and can be crafted in any of our natural wood finishes and Italian leather shades.
The Canterbury four poster is also available as a traditional bed frame and comes complete with free delivery and installation, as well as a 10-year guarantee.
