We felt our Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired range of beds was so special it deserved a coordinating range of furniture all of its own.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was one of Britain's best-loved and most enduring furniture designers. Like the other designers in the Arts & Crafts movement, the style was all about moving away from the fussy furniture of the Victorian era and especially from the trend towards mass-produced factory assembly line furniture.

With quality bedroom furniture, it’s the little details that count

You could say our own approach towards design and furniture making has changed very little since the Arts & Crafts days. Like Mackintosh and his contemporaries, everything we do at Revival Beds is a reaction against modern mass production, against cutting corners or taking shoddy short cuts with materials like MDF or chipboard.

Each element in our solid wood Mackintosh bedroom furniture range is true to time-honoured principles. Look closely at the crackle glazed ceramic tile inlays featured on the chests of drawers and blanket box (you'll find the same feature on the Mackintosh beds). Each has been individually crafted by Clayworth Pottery, famous for its architectural restoration work at the Harrogate Spa and the London Underground.

Then there are the exquisite iron handles on the drawers and wardrobe doors. And don't miss the elegant curving carved into the furniture plinth. It's little details like these that instantly show that this is no ordinary 'high street' or 'off-the-shelf' range of bedroom furniture.

Clever furniture design, outside – and in

What would a splendid bed like the Mackintosh be without a bedside cabinet? And this is no ordinary bedside cabinet. Note the ceramic tile detailing mentioned above. Open the drawers and the craftsmanship carries on. Each drawer is crafted from solid wood with traditional dovetailed joints for durability.

Tall, elegant furniture is a quintessential feature of Mackintosh's furniture – and you'll find this concept echoes in our slender seven drawer Wellington chest. It doesn't just look stunning, perhaps as the perfect base for a vase of flowers or a lamp; it's the perfect storage solution for when space is tight.

Clever storage continues inside our wardrobes, available from one door through to four doors. Pictured here is our spacious three door wardrobe complete with handy shoe storage rack. And don't forget, for any wardrobe module you can choose from seven different storage options to fulfil all your individual needs.
