The County Kerry is a traditional handmade bed built using traditional methods and materials. There are over 245 individually handmade components in each four poster which means over 245 quality control checks. In fact the sheer number of components means this bed undergoes more scrutiny than any other piece of furniture in the Revival Collection.

Unlike some handmade beds, each of the smaller panels is individually made and then mounted in a framework of rails and stiles. This is clamped together and set, then joined onto the posts with traditional mortise and tenon joints. In fact every component is hand made or hand turned.

And unless we told you, you'd never know that we use two different types of timber. The smaller panels are made from Quebec yellow pine recognised for its stability and ability to take a stain. The load-bearing rails and styles are made from strong Scandinavian redwood. It's this kind of attention to detail that you simply won't find anywhere else.

Another great thing about these luxury hand-made beds is that it can be customised to your requirements. We produce this four-poster in widths of up to eight feet wide, and to special lengths. If you're worried about a 4-poster being too high for a low ceiling, we can adjust the canopy height. If you're concerned about the logistics of getting a big bed into your bedroom or converted attic bedroom, we can produce it in 'kit-form' - ideal for narrow staircases or for where access is restricted. Our delivery professionals will then carefully assemble your bed on site.
