The Chatsworth
Some things are 'just right'. Like the dependable Chatsworth hand-made bed. Not too big, it looks just right in almost any bedroom. Not too small, it still makes quite a statement especially when teamed with our accompanying bedroom furniture. And like any traditionally handmade piece of furniture, it ages beautifully.
The bed that's the choice of quality hotels
It's easy to see why the Chatsworth has long been a favourite bed with quality hotels. From modern boutique to baronial, it complements virtually any decor. And of course being hand-crafted in England, in the traditional way, it's built to last with attention to detail just about everywhere you look.
Note the intricate scalloped carving on the headboard capped with elegant Regency style urns (hand turned, naturally), with a simpler finish on the low foot variation. Whatever your taste you can continue the theme by pairing matching bedroom furniture using the bed as a focal point.
Or why not specify one of our darker waxed finishes to complement the chocolate tones favoured by many of today's interior designers. Width, length, low footboard, high footboard, four posters. Just say the word and we'll create your perfect bed to match.
Proof that a bed can look expensive without breaking the bank
As you'd expect with a hand-made bed, the Chatsworth bed looks expensive. But only you will know you haven't broken the bank to achieve that sophisticated country house hotel look. After all, why pay for a designer name when you can buy traditional English craftsman-built quality at a fraction of the price?
The Chatsworth doesn't just look stunning it's also the epitome of comfort. The base comprises eleven slats exactly - because we know from experience that's the best combination to support a luxury mattress. And a Revival Bed will never, ever squeak or creak.
It's an incredibly versatile bed. From enormous super king size down to a child's 3 foot bed, even a 4 poster option, there's a Chatsworth bed to suit you. It's available in a beautiful distressed Oldwood wax - or for a completely different look why not go for a hand-painted finish?
Tough enough to withstand much more than everyday use
Wilton Park is one of the UK's most upmarket conference centres, located in a sixteenth century country house in the heart of the English countryside. Revival Beds were invited to supply 12 Chatsworth beds to complement the bedrooms' new contemporary styling. We also supplied coordinating Revival Furniture including single wardrobes, single pedestal dressing tables and specially designed tea tables.
The point is - the Chatsworth design can easily be customised to suit any decor, traditional or contemporary. And because hotel furniture suffers more wear and tear than the domestic bedroom, each item of furniture was given a special lacquer finish with a "severe usage" rating making it resistant to scratches, scuffs, hot water and cup ring marks.
