The Ambassador is the biggest bed we make and our 4 poster option is the ultimate in majestic focal points for the bigger bedroom. With or without a "roof", this huge four-poster is designed to last for generations, individually built by hand like all the Revival beds.

When you've got a generously proportioned room it makes sense to go for the most impressive and luxurious bed you can find. If visitors to our factory remark on the sheer size and presence of our standard Ambassador bed, they're lost for words when they see the 4 poster version. It's no surprise to learn that our influence came from the Great Bed of Ware!

Most customers ask for this four poster bed in a 5 foot width or wider - king size and super king size, Caesar size or Emperor sized, up to 8 feet wide. If you'd like something even wider or longer, or if you need a special height (e.g. for a low ceiling), just ask. We're more than happy to take orders for custom sizes.

A Medieval or Tudor-style four poster bed

The big difference between the Ambassador four poster and original Medieval, Elizabethan or Tudor beds is the size. It's built by hand using time-honoured techniques and materials, but unlike typical antique beds which tend to be double wooden beds it's normally sold as a super king size bed.

Each panel in the triple panelled head and footboard of this quality 4 poster has been individually set into place. The slats on the wooden base have been carefully measured to take modern pocket sprung or memory foam mattresses with ease. And the magnificent 6"� diameter bobbin twist columns are sufficiently sturdy to support a heavy closed (built-in "roof") canopy.
